Fettuccine Alfredo
This has been a favorite over the years.
Ingredients
- 1 lb box of fettuccine pasta
- 1 cup cream
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves minced or crushed garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook until al dente and drain.
Melt the butter in a sauce pan large enough to contain the pasta. Add the garlic and saute for 1 or 2 minutes. Add the cream and cheese. Heat until the cheese is melted.
Add the pasta to the sauce. The starch from the pasta should bring the sauce together. Keep stirring over low heat and it will.
